Case study
Scope and results
We designed and delivered, on a turnkey basis, a multimedia presentation of the permanent exhibition at the Alfons Karpiński Painting Gallery. We created custom wooden interactive easels with fully concealed electronics, used to present the works and for education. Everything is tied together by our central multimedia and lighting control system.
For the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola, we delivered a multimedia installation at the Alfons Karpiński Painting Gallery, housed in the historic former courthouse in Rozwadów. We designed the technology so that it would not overpower the classical paintings, but instead support a deeper understanding of the artist’s work.
Custom interactive easels
- Form and concealed technology: natural-wood furniture in the shape of traditional easels, with built-in touchscreens and computers and hidden cabling.
- Interactive painting workshop: an educational app lets visitors explore the successive layers of an oil painting — from the initial sketch to the texture of the paint.
- Digital gallery of works and archives: the stations let visitors browse high-resolution images of the paintings, as well as documents and sketches.
Exhibition and lighting management
- The system manages interactive stations, projections, audio and lighting scenes simultaneously.
- The exhibition starts up and shuts down automatically according to the museum’s operating calendar, or from the admin panel.
- Telemetry monitoring helps detect irregularities before they affect the visitor experience.
The project covered the entire process: from design sketches and joinery, through AV hardware supply, software and integration, to commissioning and long-term service support.
Benefits for the museum
- Modern multimedia integrated into a historic space with no visible technical infrastructure.
- An active, engaging way to experience painting, for young people and art connoisseurs alike.
- A self-running exhibition that requires no daily manual setup of the stations.
